In 1986 D&D Electric was established in Indiana mainly doing residential and commercial work eventually foraying into heavy industrial and light utility. We pride ourselves on being a responsive and agile company capable of BIG things. We work with the automation industry closely. This ongoing learning provides us with a well-rounded understanding of modern industrial systems thus helping customers integrate their system(s) with ease. Along with working closely with controls firms we do large electrical distribution systems, power quality studies, lighting research, and design-build projects.

  • In 1989 we landed our first large industrial job with an ink manufacturer.

  • In 2007 we started contracting for one of the World's largest bio-diesel plants.

  • Today, we do light utility distribution and primary services.

Our Team

Dan Kierpaul (Retired)


Initially started working on aircraft, power plants and fuselages in Detroit, MI.  He worked in the auto industry for 10 years.  During that time he built and installed large electrical distribution systems followed up with controls and material handling systems.  In 1974, Dan received his Journeyman's license and his Master's in 1978.  Dan provides valuable expertise in controls, power quality, energy conservation, large scale industrial/commercial projects and design-build projects.

 

D.J. Kierpaul


Working hand-in-hand with his father, Dan, at an early age not only taught DJ good work ethic, but also the electrical trade. In 2009 after much schooling and countless hours of on-the-job training, DJ received his master license.

Also obtaining his Pilot's Licence brings attention to detail on every project.

Austin Kierpaul

Worked as an Electrician in the family business before graduating from Purdue University with an Engineering Degree. Austin has designed, programmed and implemented various sized automation projects in the Food, Paint and Orthopedic sectors. His support is provided locally for Automation maintenance and upgrades, Electrical estimating, Energy savings and System design.
